Fast Track Gen Developer

 

Objective

This training is the fastest way to learn how to develop systems with Gen. The student will learn the most important basic concepts, techniques and diagrams of Gen. He will know how to design, generate and test the application.

Many hands on tasks will give him the right skills to start in a project as a Gen developer. The student will build a complete basic client-server application and he will be able to maintain such application.

 

The training programme concentrates on the nucleus of the Gen developments concepts and skills.

On completion of the training he will be able to start in a Gen development project immediately, performing general design and construction tasks.

To become skilled as an all-round developer additional training is needed.

  • Design, generation and test of a basic application
  • Procedures and action diagrams
  • Maintenance functionality
  • Views and View Matching
  • Local views, work views
  • Reading/writing the database
  • Designing for client-server
  • Explicitly indexed group views
  • Window Design
  • Flow between procedures
  • Action on entity types and relationships

 

After discussion of the theory topics many hands on exercises guarantee that the student has achieved a good level of practical skills.

 

Duration

The standard duration is 5 days.


Prerequisites

The student must be familiar with the general concepts of system development.
