All Round Developer
Objective
The objective of the course is to train the student as an All Round Developer using CA Gen. He will get a very profound knowledge of CA Gen and the principles of modeling in CA Gen. He has more comprehensive and better practical skills than the Basic Developer. A greater CA Gen area is part of his competence so that he is immediately available for several types of CA Gen application projects.
On completion of the training the student will be able to start in a CA Gen development project immediately, performing all design and construction tasks.
Contents
The programme starts with the Basic Developer programme and is extended with the following subjects:
- Data modeling
- Transformation and generation of a test database
- System design, Procedures and Views
- Window and action diagram and action diagram statements
- Client server design
- Load module packaging
- Generation and test of an application
- Explicitly indexed group views
- Working with subsets
- Analysis products and its origin
- More complex database actions (extended READ-statements)
- Performance aspects of DB actions
- Interfacing external code
- User defined events (TIR)
- Procedure copy with substitution
- Advanced GUI features (statements en events)
After discussion of the theory many hands on exercises guarantee that the student has achieved a good level of practical skills.
Duration
The standard duration is 15 days.
If the student has attended the training for Basic Developer the duration of the addition training is 5 days.
Prerequisites
The student has to be familiar with the concepts of system development.
